Finance startup FinanceKaart raises Rs 10 million in seed funding from renowned angel investors


FinanceKaart, a fintech firm incubated and supported by IIM Lucknow and FinBlue-STPI Chennai, has raised Rs 10 million in seed capital from well-known Angel Investors. FinanceKaart, a digital marketplace for financial goods, has successfully raised funds from private investors, among the country’s growing startup scene. Because of its accessibility, internet or digital fundraising has grown in popularity in recent years.

FinanceKaart will use the funds obtained to expand its technological platform, hire more employees, and improve the user experience. FinanceKaart uses a B2B2C paradigm to enhance access to financial services for these firms, whether they are sellers (inputs, equipment, etc.) or purchasers (off-takers, market linkage, FPOs, processors, etc.).

FinanceKaart is an AI-driven marketplace Neo-Bank that serves India’s underserved MSMEs. Ganga Ram Gupta started FinanceKaart in Lucknow in 2018 with the goal of meeting the financial needs of small company owners by providing products like financing, credit cards, insurance, and current accounts through its network of partner banks and NBFCs. It is also aiming for an NBFC licence in the near future so that it may start building its own loan portfolio. 

CEO & Founder Ganga R. Gupta, a Banaras Hindu University (BHU) MBA graduate, earned his MDP from IIM Lucknow. He has over nine years of expertise in product, portfolio, and business development in the financial services industry. Gagan is a first-generation entrepreneur who has held critical leadership roles at famous corporations prior to founding FinanceKaart. He was influential in the product sets at Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance, India First Life Insurance, Muthoot Finance, and Religare Health Insurance at this time.
