Covaxin capable of Counteracting 617 Mutants of Coronavirus According to White House Chief Medical Adviser

According to the Dr Anthony Fauci, who is the chief medical adviser at the White house said on a conference call on Tuesday that Covaxin, a vaccine originally created in India is found to counter 617 coronavirus mutants. Covaxin was created by Bharat Biotech in collaboration with the National Institute of Virology and is efficient in readying the immune system to make antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

According to Dr Fauci, Covaxin can be a suitable solution for the devastating condition in India. He also added that they have been collecting data on an everyday basis but as far the results have come out, Covaxin has proved to be quite effective in fighting against 617 variants of coronavirus.

Supporting the worsened condition in India where the cases have upsurges to the number 3,23,144, Dr Andy Slavitt, White House COVID-19 Response Senior Advisor said, “We are making sure that we are locating some of the raw materials necessary to create more vaccines in India, which I think is going to be an important help there”
