How Company Secretary cum Corporate Lawyer Amit Kumar Sharma is helping Startups to comply with legality?

Amit Kumar Sharma comes with years of experience as a Company Secretary and a Corporate lawyer cum consultant.  His aim is to help startups to maintain good corporate governance. 

In conversation with Startup Story, Amit shared a bit about him and how he assists Startups in achieving their respective goal and making the legal path a cakewalk for budding entrepreneurs.  

Amit has completed Bachelors of Commerce from University Of Delhi, he has done his Bachelors of Law (LLB) from Modern college of Professional Studies. Moreover, he possesses a National Certificate in Financial Market. As a Company Secretary, he is responsible for promoting good corporate governance. He has worked with a number of startups, corporates and stakeholders. Amit is the founder of Amit K & Associates established in March 2017 and Co-founder of RAA & Associates LLP. 

Being a compliance officer, he is responsible for ensuring that the organization complies with government regulations and avoids missteps that could result in hefty fines, legal ramifications and reputation damage.  Putting in simple words, He is a legal advisor to corporate, helping hand to Startups and various other stakeholders. Besides that, Amit loves to read E books, books, case studies, case laws that also help him to get updated. 

Why need a legal Advisor?

When starting a business, one doesn’t want to cut corners. Therefore by ensuring that everything runs swimmingly, helps you going back and fixing things that could’ve been proactively dealt with. Often there are many trials and errors that startups deal with, but mitigating legal issues can cost a lot of money. Hence, It is well worth it to invest in a legal Advisor to ensure that you are handling sensitive issues properly, and abiding by the law in every context.

He has worked with Chemicals Industry, Pharma industry, food industry, IT SECTOR, Cloud kitchens, Real estate sector, AgriTech, Social Media, NBFC, and E-commerce. 

On being asked about the highest achievement of Amit’s life, he replied his greatest professional achievement is that he is the first generation Professional/Entrepreneur; he comes from a family where the only option available is to do a  job. However, he wanted to do something out of that stereotypical box and wanted to make his own path. “Even for a year my family wasn’t aware that I was doing my own practice; they thought I was doing a job.”  He further added that the greatest tag that has been given by his friends, family and clients to him is ‘problem solver/killer’.

Speaking with Startup Story, Amit shared his future plans and said that his next target is to achieve 100 Startups so that he can guide them effectively and efficiently enabling them to achieve their goal. Tag line “yes WE CAN”.
