Sourav Ganguly joins hands with Noida-based tech startup Classplus. He also took to social media to announce this initiative, upon completing 30 years in Indian cricket. In the 30-second clip, Ganguly is heard saying, “The first step towards achieving your dreams is having the right coach.” 

The startup Classplus is founded in 2028 by Mukul Rustagi, Vatsal Rustagi, Bikash Dash, Nikhil Goel, and Bhaswat Agarwal.

BCCI President on Thursday announced Sourav Ganguly joined hands with Noida-based ed-tech startup Classplus to promote thousands of educators and content creators. 

Ganguly also took to social media to announce this initiative, upon completing 30 years in Indian cricket.

Classplus has claimed to have digitized over one lakh educators and content creators across more than 3,000 cities serving 30 million students, assisting them in building their online presence and selling their online courses. 

The startup recently earned $ 70 million in a Series D funding round funded by Alpha Wave Global and Tiger Global and is now worth nearly $ 600 million. 

Classplus helps educators and content creators start and expand their online coaching business. Since its inception in 2018, the startup has been about by global investors such as Tiger Global, AWI, RTP Global, Blume Ventures, Sequoia Capital India`s Surge, Spiral Ventures, Strive, Times Internet, and Chimera Ventures collected in Abu Dhabi. On Wednesday, after speculation about the possibility of a  political debut in a mysterious tweet, Ganguly dispelled rumors and tried to shed light on the next venture. After putting people in the dark for a few hours, Ganguly later revealed that his new company would be an educational app, not a politician. 

However, his Twitter message contained enough elements to fuel speculation that he could make his political debut after finishing his cricket innings.
