Astrogate Labs Receives Strategic Investment from SatSure for Laser Communication Solutions

Astrogate Labs, a space technology company specializing in laser communication solutions for small satellites, has secured a strategic investment from SatSure, an Earth Observation (EO) space data application firm. The financial details of the investment were not disclosed.
The partnership between the two companies aims to leverage Astrogate Labs’ laser communications system, Astro-Link, which boasts an impressive satellite-to-ground communications speed of 1 Gbps. This collaboration will play a crucial role in strengthening SatSure’s subsidiary, KaleidEO, particularly in the upstream sector.
SatSure’s KaleidEO is preparing for an upcoming mission that involves deploying a fleet of four optical microsatellites with a wide swath of 65 km and near-meter ground resolution. By integrating Astrogate Labs’ communication solution into the satellite fleet and the ground station, the mission will benefit from seamless and high-speed data transfer capabilities.
Astrogate’s terminal will be integrated with KaleidEO’s optical payload in the mission to further enhance its efficiency. This integration will allow for enhanced data communication between the satellites and the ground station, ensuring smooth operations and data transmission during the mission.
The collaboration marks a significant milestone for both companies as they work together to advance the capabilities of satellite-based communication systems and explore new opportunities in the space technology industry.
