Artha Venture Fund leads a seed round for Fantasy Trading League (FTL)


Toroi Technologies Pvt Ltd, which runs the fantasy gaming platform Fantasy Trading League (FTL), said on Friday that it had raised Rs 2.24 crore (about $300,000) in initial money from Artha Venture Fund (AVF).

SAT Industries and angel investor Akhil Jalan also participated in the round.

The money will be used to grow the platform’s workforce and enroll additional users, as well as to roll out multiple asset classes, such as commodities and bonds.

Fundraising

FTL is an artificial intelligence-enabled platform that allows users to perform better in the financial markets by playing fantasy games. It was founded in 2019 by Shahzaib Ahmed and Syed Shaaz. It offers a wide range of games in which users may invest in cryptocurrency and equities.

The FTL stated in a statement that as part of the previously built AI-based financial literacy platform, its staff has communicated with over 10,000 users.

FTL intends to utilize the capital to expand its workforce and acquire more customers, as well as to provide new asset classes like as commodities and bonds. The company will also provide multilingual instructional content on the fundamentals of trading and investing, as well as in-depth analysis of the market, among other things.
