Appliance manufacturing startup Mekr raises Rs 67 Cr led by Avaana Capital


Consumer electronics design and manufacturing startup Mekr has raised Rs 67 crore ($7 million) in a Series A funding round led by Avaana Capital, with participation from Titan Capital Winners Fund.

The proceeds will be used to strengthen R&D, expand manufacturing automation, localise supplier networks, improve quality systems, and scale exports.

Founded in 2022 by Anand Yadav and Gaurang Kuchhal, Mekr operates as a full-stack design and manufacturing platform for consumer appliances.

The startup provides end-to-end services across product design, prototyping, tooling, certification, and mass manufacturing for appliance brands.

Mekr currently works across categories such as home and kitchen appliances, personal care, and car accessories. The firm claims to have developed more than 100 SKUs and partnered with over 40 brands including Croma, Wipro, Amazon Basics, and Flipkart.

Mekr builds products using modular engineering systems including BLDC motor systems, heating systems, load cells, and in-house mould design capabilities.
