Wavemaker Impact, the climate tech venture builder and growth fund, has participated in a $3.3 million funding round for MetroElectro, an Australian startup pioneering advanced solar battery technology for energy storage solutions. The investment reflects rising global interest in innovative, sustainable energy solutions that improve efficiency and reliability in renewable power systems.
MetroElectro focuses on developing next-generation solar battery controllers and power electronics that optimize energy capture, storage, and usage from photovoltaic systems. Their technology enables higher energy yield, improved battery health, and greater cost savings for residential and commercial solar customers.
The fresh capital will be used to accelerate product development, conduct field trials with strategic partners, and expand manufacturing capabilities.
