Landeed Secures $5M in Series X Funding to Revolutionize Property Title Search with AI
- ByStartupStory | January 24, 2025
Landeed, a property title search engine platform, has successfully raised $5 million in a Series X funding round led by 10x Founders Fund, with participation from notable investors such as Oliver Jung, Paradigm Shift, Pioneer Fund, Jeffrey Epstein (Founder of Onboard), and Aaron King (Founder of Snapdocs). The round follows the success of Landeed’s oversubscribed seed round in 2023, with almost all early institutional investors re-investing in the company.
The proptech startup intends to use the fresh capital to establish Landeed Labs, a new division focused on enhancing its AI and machine learning capabilities. The funds will also support the hiring of STEM and technical talent, enabling the company to drive further growth and innovation within its core business.
Sanjay Mandava, Co-founder and CEO of Landeed, emphasized the importance of AI and machine learning in their strategy:
“AI and machine learning are not just buzzwords; they are tools we have been using extensively to rewrite how property ownership works in India. With Landeed Labs, we’re pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in property transactions. AI and machine learning aren’t optional for us—they’re the backbone for everything you will see in our products going forward.”
Landeed was founded in 2022 by Mandava, ZJ Lin, and Jonathan Richards. The platform simplifies property title searches using artificial intelligence, providing users with access to critical property data, including sale deeds and encumbrance certificates. This helps ensure properties are free from disputes, making property transactions more reliable and transparent.
The company’s mobile app is already delivering title search results 10X faster than traditional methods, all at a nominal cost. Since its inception, Landeed has seen an impressive 22X growth in its financial metrics. The platform has attracted over 100,000 users, ranging from property owners and bankers to agents and developers, who are using Landeed for various transactions, loans, and real estate projects.
Looking forward, Landeed is committed to building a fully digitized and transparent real estate ecosystem. With the creation of Landeed Labs, the company aims to push the envelope in property transactions, expanding its presence across India and globally.
As Mandava puts it, “We still have the majority of our funds from our seed round in the bank account. So, you’ll see us relentlessly shipping new products and firing on all cylinders. We never do what we do to be second best.”
