Beyond Appliances Raises $2 Million in Funding Led by Fireside Ventures

Bengaluru-based kitchen appliances startup Beyond Appliances has raised $2 million in a funding round led by Fireside Ventures, an early-stage venture fund focusing on consumer brands. The funding round also saw participation from Dharana Capital and angel investors such as Saurabh Jain and Ramakant Sharma, co-founders of Livspace, Shezan Bhojani, founder of Design Cafe, and Chandru Kalro, former chief executive of TTK Prestige.

The funds will be utilized for research and development (R&D) and to enhance manufacturing capabilities.

“Technology has transformed living rooms, automobiles, and health care, but it hasn’t significantly impacted home kitchens. For a long time, we wanted to innovate in that space. So, with Byondnxt (parent company), we decided to focus on making home kitchens more attractive and better,” said Eshwar K Vikas, co-founder and chief executive of Beyond Appliances, in an interview with ET.

Founded in 2024 by Eshwar K Vikas and Rakesh Patil, Beyond Appliances currently offers two innovative products manufactured in India. The first is a smart stove equipped with hobs that feature digital timers and whistle counters. The second is a chimney with an integrated Android system, allowing users to stream OTT content, play music, set reminders, and create grocery lists through apps like Zepto and Blinkit.

“Till now, we have sold around 2,500 units. We will eventually build a few more technologies for the kitchen, but the gas stove and chimney markets are very under-penetrated today. It’s growing very fast. So, I think these two are the products we want to lead with,” Vikas added.

The company plans to introduce four to five additional stock-keeping units (SKUs) within this fiscal year.

Beyond Appliances’ products are available on Amazon, Flipkart, and select retail stores in Bengaluru. Interestingly, 60-70% of its sales come from tier II and tier III cities, highlighting a strong demand for smart appliances beyond metro areas.

Earlier, food and grocery delivery giant Zomato acquired an 8% equity stake in Byondnxt for ₹6,000.

Commenting on the investment, Shuchi Pandya, Principal at Fireside Ventures, said, “The Indian kitchen appliances market is witnessing a significant shift towards smart, connected solutions. Beyond Appliances’ unique approach to combining practical functionality with advanced technology positions them perfectly to capture this evolving consumer demand.”
