Aroa Venture Partners Launches $50 Million Fund


Venture capital firm Aroa Venture Partners has unveiled a new fund aiming for a corpus of Rs 400 crore (approximately $50 million). The Aroa Opportunities Fund, categorized as a category II alternative investment fund (AIF) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) since October 2022, has garnered in-principle commitments exceeding Rs 400 crore to date.

“The firm intends to deploy checks ranging from Rs 4 crore to Rs 40 crore across 20-25 startups from the fresh fund. Additionally, the fund has set aside an extra Rs 400 crore beyond the final corpus as a greenshoe option,” reports revealed.

Founded in 2020 by Gaurav Gulati, Aroa Venture Partners specializes in early to growth-stage businesses spanning various sectors. Oyo founder and CEO Ritesh Agarwal stands as its sole limited partner. 

Recently, Endiya Partners, known for backing Darwinbox, Cult.fit, Kissht, and others, disclosed plans to initiate its third fund targeting a corpus ranging from Rs 800 crore to Rs 1,000 crore.
