Located near Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Virat Kohli‘s One8 Commune restaurant recently opened its doors in the Garden City, marking its fifth outlet following Mumbai, Pune, and Kolkata. The Bengaluru restaurant boasts stunning Bohemian decor spread across three floors, catering to various dining preferences—from couples on a romantic evening to groups celebrating milestones or families seeking a cozy meal. Emphasizing community and togetherness, the restaurant’s seating spaces feature elaborate sectional sofas, embodying the spirit of One8 Commune.
Adorning the entrance is Kohli’s signature in neon, an inviting spot for photos and selfies, adding to the restaurant’s Instagram-worthy ambiance. The place exudes warmth with decorative chandeliers casting soft, ambient light throughout the space. Even during weekdays, the restaurant remains packed, with eager patrons sometimes asked to return later due to the high demand for seating.
Kohli’s association with Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL has garnered him a significant fan base in the city, contributing to the considerable interest and curiosity surrounding One8 Commune among Bangaloreans. YS Life, a few weeks post-launch, explored the restaurant’s offerings.
Inspired by Kohli’s vegetarian lifestyle, the restaurant’s menu features his favorites, exhibiting brilliance in culinary innovation. The avocado tartare, a vegan rendition of the French classic, stands out for its freshness, softness, and buttery texture, complemented by barbecue corn, adding crunch and juiciness—a dish that truly defines a visit to the restaurant
