Offside, a social platform tailored for cricket enthusiasts, has secured $150K in pre-seed funding from 100X.VC. The investment aims to propel Offside’s growth, intending to scale its user base to 500,000 in the upcoming months, as highlighted in the company’s official statement.
Co-founded by Shivam Jha and Rishav Kumar, Offside serves as a dedicated hub for cricket aficionados, providing a space for fan interactions. Offering a diverse range of features such as live match updates, interactive discussions, vibrant communities, curated cricket content, and a variety of free-to-play cricket contests and games, the app aims to engage users deeply.
The startup has shown promising traction, amassing 50,000 users during the recent World Cup. Furthermore, the app has witnessed substantial user engagement, with daily interaction exceeding 30 minutes over the past three months.
In the realm of early-stage investments, 100X.VC has been actively supporting various startups this year. Its portfolio includes names like Roopya, 50Fin, Minifeel, Vodex, ThinkMetal, Luzo, Dr. Mantra, and abCoffee, among others. The fund follows a cohort-based investment model, having launched its first batch in December 2019, which comprised 20 early-stage startups.
