What’s Up Wellness, a Gurugram-based direct-to-consumer wellness brand, has secured Rs 14.4 crore in its seed funding round, with leading participation from Unilever Ventures, the venture capital arm of FMCG giant Unilever. This marks Unilever Ventures’ first foray into the health and wellness sector.
In a previous funding round in 2022, the brand had garnered angel funding from a group of angel investors, including founders from consumer brands like Sirona Hygiene and Clovia.
The newly raised funds are earmarked for expanding the team, intensifying growth strategies, and scaling operations. Importantly, the capital infusion will facilitate the development of a diverse range of new products.
Co-founded by Sayantani Mandal and Vaibhav Makhija, What’s Up Wellness specializes in providing easily consumable gummy supplements. The startup claims to have served over 250,000 users and sold 400,000 packs of gummies across India to date.
The company highlights its remarkable growth, having multiplied its size by more than 12 times in the last year, with a current Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) of Rs 30 crore and a 40% repeat customer rate. With ambitions to enhance users’ well-being, the brand intends to introduce about 12 new products catering to different wellness needs.
