SaaS Product Inkle raises $1.5 Million pre-seed funding led by Picus Capital, others

Inkle, human chat-based US CPA SaaS product, has secured a $1.5 million pre-seed funding round led by Picus Capital, Saison Capital, and Force Ventures.

Anand Krishna founded Inkle in late 2021 to provide software that allows US companies founded by overseas founders to easily and affordably handle tax, accounting, and compliance. Inkle’s full-stack software and collaborative features enable global businesses to create a scalable, on-demand, and cost-effective back office.

According to Inkle, the platform provides live chat with bookkeepers and CPAs, as well as clear dashboards with deadline alerts, team collaboration, a secure corporate document vault, and transparent billing. Inkle Books monitors the various intercompany money movements within the group, including transfer pricing, foreign direct investment, and royalty payments, as well as complex group consolidation.

According to the Bengaluru and Delaware-based company, it also helps with compliances such as registered agent, mailroom, and state, federal, and cross-border regulatory reporting. Both the customer and CPA softwares are constantly improving their modern, fresh SaaS interfaces in order to connect all three sides.

Inkle claims that it has grown revenues 7x in the last year to hundreds of thousands of dollars while remaining bootstrapped and in stealth mode. The company also claims to be expanding into new corridors such as US-Canada and US-LATAM, as well as new industries such as crypto taxes. Leading technology companies such as Salesken, Mailmodo, Zoko, and DriveTrain are among its clients.
