SpeakIn, a digital learning platform, raises pre-series A funding round


In a recent announcement, SpeakIn, a digital platform for 1:1 coaching and group learning sessions, said it had received an undisclosed sum in a pre-Series A investment. New investors, including Kulmeet Bawa, president, and managing director of the SAP Indian subcontinent, participated in the round.

Aarti Gupta, one of India’s top women investors and the chairperson of the FICCI FLO for startups, as well as other current investors Vinod K. Dasari, a former managing director of Ashok Leyland, Aditya Ghosh, a co-founder of Akasa Air and a former president of Indigo Airlines, Richard Rekhy, a former CEO of KPMG India, and others, took part in the fundraising effort. With this fresh round of funding, the business hopes to grow in North America within the next 12 months and develop a closer relationship with its 400+ enterprise customers in APAC.

SpeakIn was established in 2018 by Deepshikha Kumar Anand, a graduate of the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, the Wharton School of Business, and a former consultant at EY. Her goal was to change the executive education and professional learning landscape by bringing the best coaches and mentors in the world together with students. The business has a network of more than 18,000 experts and thought leaders who provide enterprise clients, their leaders, and their employees with one-on-one coaching and many group learning sessions.

Commenting on the fundraising, Founder & CEO of SpeakIn, Deepshikha Kumar, said, “This investment is another milestone in the company’s product growth story. Kulmeet is one of the most respected names in technology leadership in APAC. This comes at a time when we are taking giant steps towards expanding SpeakIn in APAC, having moved our operations to Singapore, and the launch of GROW – our mobile SaaS platform.”

In order to efficiently meet the rising need for professional learning in the Asia Pacific region, the firm has relocated its headquarters there. Revenues allegedly increased by five times year over year. The company has professionals from 47 different nations on display.
