IIT Kanpur Incubator SIIC made an undisclosed initial investment in Bangalore-based Acculi Labs

SIIC, IIT Kanpur’s Incubator, invests in Acculi Labs Pvt. Ltd., a Bangalore-based company, for the positive effect it has made and continues to make in the field of healthcare.

Mr. Yogi Srivastava, from the investment team, has shared his happiness with the stake and shared with us that “Acculi has a very professional team. This was an extremely hard investment deal to complete. We are happy by the joint effort of both of our teams”.

Acculi Labs Pvt. Ltd. is a digital lifecare company focused on the screening, early detection, risk assessment, prognosis, and therapeutics of various mental health traumas, as well as the prevention of the pathological progression of trauma, using massively scalable clinically validated digital mobile health technology and human networks.

The firm is also fully focused on treating senior people suffering from empty nest syndrome trauma, perimenopausal ladies suffering from loss of self-love trauma, and females suffering from Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder with suppressed trauma of childhood sexual molestation. Acculi laboratories are the only enterprise in the world that delivers an exact connection of diverse mental health issues to the etiology of numerous chronic diseases such as cancer, insulin resistance, liver fibrosis, arterial stiffness, and cardiovascular disease.

IIT Kanpur’s Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC) is one of the country’s oldest incubators. It was founded in 2000 when India’s business environment was still in its infancy. The varied and active incubation environment at IIT Kanpur, which has been developed for over two decades, thrives in filling the gaps on the path to transforming an idea into a viable and relevant business model. Over the years, the subject knowledge paired with the academic institute’s infrastructure capabilities has shown a flair for enormous social impact and technical development.

“The innovative approach of Acculi Labs is impacting individuals and the healthcare ecosystem incredibly. We are extremely pleased by the progress and focus of Acculi, and I am sure they will continue to create a global social impact the way they are doing,” stated Dr. Amitabh Bandyopadhyay, the Co-Professor in charge of SIIC, the director of IIT Kanpur, and one of the mentors of the company.

Rupam Das, the founder and CEO of Acculi Labs, and creator of its flagship project Lyfas has shared with us that “I am extremely happy by the way we are innovating constantly and being able to serve such a diverse global patient base without any expenses on marketing. It is proof that when seniors like Dr. Amitabh Bandyopadhyay, put their trust in a science and technology-rich frugal company and support them with his intellect and experience, and when an institution like IIT Kanpur encourages that mission, we as a country can achieve wonders. I am thankful to Dr. Bandyopadhyay and the entire IIT team, including Yogi Ji, Jatin Ji, and Anushree, for not only the investment but also the extraordinary support, emotions, encouragement, and energy they have invested in us”. He further added, “We are also a company whose digital business is run by an all-women team of Nimmi ji and Shabnam, whose relentless focus, effort, and determination is a proof that our girls are an extraordinary asset of the company and the future of the business of the country is in the right hands. I am also thankful to our 130 investors, who have put their faith in us, and Mahesh Panchavaktra Ji for backing us up in our difficult times.”
