Community management startup Threado raises $3.1 million in seed funding led by Vertex Ventures

Threado, a community management platform raised $3.1 million in a seed round of funding, which was led by Vertex Ventures. Gemba Capital, Speciale Invest, and PointOne Capital also took part in the financing round.
Notable angel investors including Deepinder Goyal (Zomato), Pankaj Chaddah (Zomato), Chargebee co-founders Krish Subramanian and Rajaraman Santhanam, Abhishek Goyal (Tracxn), Aneesh Reddy (Capillary Technologies), Tonmoy Shingal (Mettl), Archana Priyadarshini (PointOne Capital), and Sri Rajan (ex-MD, Bain India).
The startup plans to utilise the funds to strengthen its team, double down on the product and accelerate traction in the North American market.
The Bangalore-based firm in the next 12 months, intends to grow the number of community-led businesses it serves to 3,000 and 200+ communities, including Glide Apps, StartUp Grind, Ultrahuman, On Deck, Rocketlane, and FamPay, among others, use its community management platform and plans to strengthen its company with strong utilisation.
According to the startup, the platform knows who is engaged and how its built on interactions at scale. It also automates all operational tasks and manages all the activity feeds.
“Everything we do is focused on empowering community builders. Our ambition is to define and shape this category over the coming years. We are on a mission to help every business grow through the power of community and want to power community-led growth for 10 million businesses by 2030,” said Pramod.
