Fintech startup Taxbuddy raises $2.1 million in funding led by Zenith Global


SSBA Innovations Pvt. Ltd. which runs Taxbuddy.com, an online tax advising firm founded by former Indian Revenue Service officer Sujit Bangar, announced on Wednesday that it had secured $2.10 million (about Rs 16 crore) in investment led by UAE-based fund Zenith Global. Other existing investors also took part in the funding round.

Zenith Global stated that Taxbuddy.com focuses solely on advice automation. As a result, Taxbuddy is well-positioned to lead the digital tax consulting market, giving them confidence for the future. Zenith is a returning investor in the firm, having initially contributed $1 million in 2020.

Sujit Bangar, the founder of Taxbuddy.com said that the most crucial part, which has so far been overlooked, is advisory automation. The next big thing in fintech is advisory automation. And the firm has focused on the same thing since the beginning. Bangar further stated that this financing will assist Taxbuddy in improving its technological skills.

Taxbuddy.com, launched in 2019, is a Mumbai-based fintech firm from SSBA innovations that provides tax solutions to people, professionals, and enterprises. These services are provided directly through the Taxbuddy App and the Taxbuddy.com website. Taxbuddy.com raised $1 million (about Rs 7.4 crore) in early-stage financing from Zenith Global in December 2020.  The online tax consulting firm boasts that its platform has 4.5 lakh users across India.
