Bahrain’s Investcorp is in exclusivity talks to buy AC Milan

A person close to the matter told Reuters on Friday that Bahrain-based Investcorp had entered into ‘exclusivity talks’ to buy AC Milan in Italy.
According to the source, the purchase of the Serie A club from current owners Elliott Management Corporation is nearing completion.
Private equity, real estate, absolute return investments, infrastructure, credit management, and strategic capital are all lines of business for Investcorp. It oversees a total of $42 billion in assets.
In 2018, the American corporation Elliott Management Corporation purchased Milan, the seven-time European champions.
When approached by Reuters, Investcorp declined to comment, while the club and Elliott Management did not immediately reply to requests for comment.
Milan has won Serie A (Italy’s top tier league) 18 times, but not since 2011; the club is presently in the first place.
