Undisclosed amount raised in seed round by BharatRohan


BharatRohan Airborne Innovations, a Delhi-based drone-based crop monitoring startup raised an undisclosed amount of funding from US-headquartered funds, Upaya Social Ventures and Acumen Fund Inc., an impact investment entity.

The capital will be utilised by the company in order to strengthen its presence in Rajasthan and Gujarat. BharatRohan was founded by Amandeep Panwar and Rishabh Chaudhary in the yaer 2016. It works with farmers, agri-input companies, NGOs, FPOs, and FMCG companies.

BharatRohan provides technology-based insights on the farmer and FPO side, in order to minimise crop losses, purchase agri-inputs. And also to help them sell it to large retailers with residue-free crop produce and FMCG brands and has also been offered for farm traceability. 

At present, the company has across 20,000 acres in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, which works with 6,000 farmers. In order to increase the sale of seed spices, oilseeds and pulses, the company projects to expand its operations across 2 lakh acres of area in the next 18 months and with their network of farmers the volume of sale of seed spices to increase by 7,000 metric tonnes.
