About $1.1 Mn raised by Gamerji in pre-Series A round

Gamerji, an Esports gaming platform in its pre-Series A round led by Unicorn India Ventures raised about $ 1.1 million. Stadia Ventures, Urmin Group family office and existing investors also participated within the round.
The startup Gamerji said in a press release that it plans to use the fresh funds so as to boost tournament organization technology, build social features for the gamers & and expand to MENA and south east Asia.
GamerJi was founded by Soham Thacker in the year 2019. It is an esports tournament platform where users can play tournaments of their favorite games, host matches, communicate, share content and win prizes.
It is an Ahmedabad-based startup which claims that it has conducted over 29K tournaments till date and is currently serving 2.3 million gamers from India. According to the company, since its seed round in Dec 2020, it has increased its user base by 3X and is conducting over 200 tournaments for more than 15 titles everyday.
