Sony shows off SUV, will explore building electric cars as ‘Sony Mobility Inc’

Sony’s Chairman, President and CEO, Kenichiro Yoshida, announced tonight at CES in Las Vegas that he will unveil a new prototype of his Vision S electric vehicle and that the Sony Group will create a new division.
At the CES stage of Sony’s press conference, the company exhibited the existing Sony Vision S sedan unveiled at CES last year. This year, there was also a new model in the product range, the Sony Vision SSUV prototype.
“The excitement I felt after seeing VisionS really encouraged us to think more about how creativity and technology can be brought to change the experience of moving from one place to another. “I did,” Yoshida announced a new Vision SS UV prototype before speaking. “This is our new Vision SS UV. VisionS was developed based on security, adaptability and entertainment. Safety has been our number one priority in creating a comfortable mobility experience. VISionS is also developing mobility as an entertainment space, “said Yoshida. “VISionS is also evolving mobility as an entertainment space such as gaming experience and audio. We learned more about mobility from VISionS research and the partners who supported this effort.”
