LG’s best-selling OLED TVs get an upgrade for the new year

LG has had a very good streak on OLED TVs over the last few years. LG’s C1 was a flat screen, so it’s no surprise that the company’s 2022 product line received our (virtual) attention at this year’s CES. The company is happy enough to be quiet enough by adding relatively minor updates to its best-selling TVs, adding some additional screen sizes and some additional smarts to the family. It seems.
OLED technology is not new. In 2007, Sony announced a version of OLED TV with lower resolution and higher prices. Over the last few years, technology has accelerated and is one of the midrange wallets. The OLED technology in question eliminates the need for backlighting older LCD panels with LED lighting. Instead of a large light source radiating through a series of small color pixels, each pixel in OLED technology is a small light emitting diode. This means that if you turn off one pixel, it will not emit any light. This provides amazing contrast and amazing color space. Since there is no backlight, TV makers can also let steam escape in the package. The thinner form factor allows for rollable or flexible TV screens.

The LG TV has won the deserved CES Innovation Award for the eighth consecutive year. The company was thrilled to reveal its latest vision for the future of television.
The company has announced two new television series, the G2 series and the C2 series. Both use improved OLED technology to produce even better images. LG claims that this will allow displays to provide higher brightness and clearer, more detailed images. This should give you a more realistic image that will look good in your eyes at home.
