Software Startup Tango Eye raises INR 5 crore from D2C eyewear brand Lenskart


The Software Startup Tango Eye has recently raised a capital funding of INR 5 crore in a fresh round of funding from the D2C eyewear brand Lenskart.

Sources reveal that the startup intends to utilize the recently infused funds to enhance its product development activities, supplement expansion as well as enhance its manpower in the field of technology as well as business as a whole.

The eyewear brand Lenskart launched a Vision Fund this year and intends to invest a sum of $20 million in multiple selected yet unique brands working towards revolutionizing eyewear, eye care as well as the omni-channel retail sector.

Conceived by Surender Gounder, Tango Eye is an AI supplement computer vision startup which focuses primarily on deep learning technology which provides solutions to physical spaces by converting video clips into multiple meaningful snippets. It plans to extend its existing retail outlets to 10,000 within the next year.  

Expressing his views on the recent funding round, the founder and CEO of Tango Eye, Surender Gounder said, “The fundraise will allow us to add new features to the product, enabling our customers to embark on the phygital journey and harness in-store technology. We are looking at 10x growth in the next 12 months. We are in conversation for additional funding.”
