ByteDance founder steps down as chairman

In a shakeup at the giant technology hub, Zhang Yiming stepped down as chairman and new CEO Liang Ruba has taken over as the chairman of the company’s board including, General Atlantic, Sequoia Capital, Coatue Management and Susquehanna International Group.

The news came out on Tuesday as a major reshuffle in the organisation at ByteDance, it is said that TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew would also step down as its parent ByteDance’s CFO to focus on the video creation platform full time. Do you think this move will create a difference in the platforms?
