L&T emerges as the lowest bidder for 3 central vista buildings’ construction

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Limited was named the lowest bidder on Monday for the construction and maintenance of the first three building of the Joint Central Secretariat in the Central Vista redevelopment project.
L&T Limited quoted about Rs.3141 crore, or 3.47% less than what the Central Department of Public Works (CPWD) estimated the project would cost. Overall, the company submitted a bid amount of Rs 31,41,99,87,657.
The second lowest bidder, NCC Ltd, cited a cost of Rs 3,318 crore for the project, which is 1.94% over the estimate.
Tata Projects Limited quoted approximately Rs.3,546 crore, which is 8.96% more than the estimated cost.
Council of the Central Department of Public Works (CPWD), the agency responsible for implementing the Modi government’s ambitious Central Vista redevelopment project, will decide on the award of the tender work soon.
