Amazon Web Services(AWS) launched its AWS re/Start program in India on Wednesday to train people in cloud computing.
AWS re/Start is a free skills development and job program that prepares students for careers in cloud computing. The 12-week program is offered free of charge to students and no previous technology experience is required to apply.
Upon completion of the 12-week course, participants must take the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification exam. The certification prepares participants to manage entry-level cloud roles, site reliability, infrastructure support, and more. The course requires students to take virtual classes between 9am and 6pm.

Re/Start, a skills-based training program, covers key AWS cloud skills and practical career skills, such as resume writing and job interviews. The course provides students with real scenario-based exercises, labs, and lectures with training on Linux, Python, networking, security, and relational databases.
The program was advertised through the social media platform to attract potential students. Each lot has 25 participants.
To run the program, AWS partnered with EdTech Vinsys IT Services and EduBridge Learning platforms to deliver the tutorial online. Speaking about partnering with Amazon for the course, Girish Singhania, CEO of EduBridge Learning, said: “We took the opportunity to be a part of this program with AWS as we believe technology skills are essential for the future workforce.
To facilitate post-program deployment, AWS has also partnered with Capgemini
The program has also been launched in 25 other countries.
