Startup Story has launched its COVID relief campaign aimed at combating the disheartening impact of the second wave of the on-going pandemic.
As the country grapples with the despair caused by numerous deaths as well
as the loss of livelihood of scores of people in India, help is being extended by various Indian and foreign organisations. Startup Story, on similar grounds, has launched the COVID relief campaign to tackle this unprecedented situation
India has recorded over 326,098 positive cases and 3,890 deaths in the past 24 hours. Under this heart wrenching situation, the country is facing problems such as death, hunger, financial losses, and widespread unemployment. Startup story’s COVID relief campaign is an attempt to curb some of these serious effects caused by the pandemic.
The idea behind the COVID relief campaign is greatly inspired by an initiative taken by an IAS officer Rishav Gupta, who is an Additional collector in the Mandasur district, Madhya Pradesh. He along with his two other IIT graduates, Kunal Mahajan and Shashank Yaduvanshi collected more than Rs47 lakhs within three days through crowdfunding, the money raised by them will be used to avail oxygen concentrators.
“Unfortunately, due to paucity of beds at the district hospital which is always filled to brim, with many patients lying on floors waiting to get a bed, a lot of patients either do not turn up or are turned away for lack of availability if they do”. Rishav Gupta, Additional Collector, Mandsaur says in a message on his website.
On similar grounds Startup story has collaborated with the NGO’s including Humanity First specially and Yuva Volunteers team mainly Rakesh Sehgal, Vikram Bajaj, Rahul Shaniya, Shakshi Gupta & Natasha Gambhir and many more who are serving humanity as a whole and have already been working on the purpose by serving food and connecting with plasma donors so far.
The mission of the COVID relief campaign is to be able to offer help to those and to reach places where it has been difficult to reach. This shall be achieved by connecting and in close collaboration with the District magistrate’s of the respective districts across the nation.
There are various parts of the country that have remained neglected and the wrath of the pandemic has wounded them deeply, to cover those areas and provide help as per need,The COVID relief campaign will not restrict to a single cause rather resources for food, healthcare, oxygen concentrators, admittance to hospitals and bills and many other causes related to COVID shall be covered.
The vision of the COVID relief campaign is to outreach and extend to every part of the country and in order to ensure this Startup Story is also looking forward to connecting with media partners for proper outreach and promotion of the COVID relief campaign.
With 3,673,802 active cases according to the Union Health Minister’s dashboard, it has become a moral responsibility to extend help in the form of COVID relief. Every little contribution will go a long way in helping the citizens impacted by the pandemic and securing the future of the country. All kinds of individual funding or help of any kind extended to Startup Story’s COVID relief Campaign will be greatly appreciated.
The second wave of pandemic hit India with a shock and had unbelievable retrospect. However, the amount of responsibility and commitment shown by the citizen’s of the country has been remarkable. The hope to surpass the pandemic lives within each of us and with the light in our hearts and humanitarian assistance India shall bounce back from the pandemic stronger than ever.
