Toothsi – a dental startup raises $40 Mn funds ley by Eight Roads Ventures and others

Dental startup Toothsi has successfully raised funding of $40 million from Eight Roads Ventures, South Korea based Paramark, IIFL and others. The company gives customers admittance to at-home teeth-fixing with undetectable, 3-D printing clear aligner technology. It will further utilise the funds to expand its geographic infiltration and for category extension, it said in a release.
Also, the other participant investors of the round include the family office of Medlife co-founders Prashant Singh and Tushar Kumar and prevailing investors Think Investments and the Mankekar family among others.
Toothsi was founded in 2018 by orthodontists with a vision to provide patients access to at-home, teeth straightening and other benefits by Arpi Mehta Shah, Pravin Shetty, Manjul Jain and Anirudh Kale. It has also scalled up its sister brand ‘skinnsi’ which facilitates its customers with at-home laser assisted cosmetology services. In the last few months, company has also introduced a wide range of dental and skin-carre products including a tooth-whitening and oral hygiene product line, it said in a statement.
So far, it has served over 1,40,000 customers pan India with more than 2,000 partner dental centres. The company is planning to further broaden their reach to tier-II cities as well, it said.
“The brand intends to be the one-stop platform for doctor-directed solutions for cosmetic dentistry and dermatology. We, at toothsi, intend to use this capital to build a great team for further geographic penetration and category expansion,” said Arpi Mehta Shah, cofounder and chief executive officer (CEO), Toothsi.
