The BCCI has announced that Swiggy Instamart, a quick commerce grocery business, will be the official partner of the Tata IPL Tournament in 2022. This year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to take place in India from March 26 to May 29.
Swiggy Instamart is the Bengaluru-based startup’s quick-commerce sector, promising to deliver groceries and associated things in 15-30 minutes, as opposed to the traditional online grocers, according to its website. This was made possible through a ‘dark store’ model, in which third-party run micro-warehouses are put up throughout the city to allow for faster delivery.
Swiggy Instamart, which debuted in Gurugram and Bengaluru in 2020, is now available in 18 cities and processes over 1 million orders every week. Swiggy Instatmart has onboarded more than one seller-run ‘dark store’ per day in the last three months, according to its statement. Fresh fruits and vegetables, daily bread and eggs, cooking needs, beverages, instant meals and snacks, personal and papy care, nome, and cleaning are among the things available at Instamart.

Swiggy’s relationship with cricket dates back to 2018 when the firm aired its first TV commercials emphasizing the company’s basic values of ease, no minimum order, and quick delivery. Since then, during the IPL season, the startup has continuously launched fresh initiatives.
Swiggy is an on-demand convenience firm founded in 2014 by Sriharsha Majety, Nandan Reddy, and Rahul Jaimini. Instamart, its express delivery service, is available in 21 cities. Swiggy teamed with Disney + Hotstar broadcast in 2020, and Swiggy Instamart with a prominent IPL franchise in 2020 for interesting and engaging digital and social promotions.
