The Making of HACA: A Vision, a Challenge, and a Revolution in Learning
- ByStartupStory | March 28, 2025

Not all success stories begin in grand offices or with large teams. Some start in the simplest of places, with a single table, a dream, and a determination to make an impact. Haris & Co Academy (HACA) is one such journey. Today, HACA is home to over 600+ students across four specialised schools—Digital Marketing, Graphic Design, Coding, and Finance. But the journey wasn’t easy, it happened in three important phases.
In 2020, after facing failures in business and family pressure, Haris, now the Founder of Haris&Co, needed a fresh start. He rented a small room 10 km away from home, telling his family he got a job in Calicut. There, he started his company with nothing but determination. As he got his first client, he needed a proper workspace, so he moved to Calicut. His first office was just a small corner table in his friend’s office, where he hired his first few team members. Then, as the team size started to grow, he moved out of his friend’s office into a small space in Cherootty.
At Cherootty, the biggest challenge was hiring skilled professionals. Finding the right talent was difficult, and that’s when Haris had a realisation: Instead of searching for talent, why not create it? This thought led to the creation of HACA, which first started with a Digital Marketing course in Calicut to train young minds. Over time, it expanded to include 20+ programs within its four schools—Digital Marketing, Graphic Design, Coding, and Finance, helping students develop real-world skills.
With an increasing number of students and a growing team, the academy needed more space. In September 2022, HACA & Haris&Co moved to a large 10,000 sq. ft facility in Panniyankara, Calicut, where it continues to operate today. From just two students, HACA rapidly grew to over 600 active learners, with a dedicated team of 230+ members across both HACA and Haris & Co, working together across 9 departments.

Rizwan, the Co-Founder and CEO of HACA, believes that the academy is more than just a place for learning; it’s a platform for transformation. “We have an agency, and we solve real-world problems for clients across the globe. The goal is to bridge the gap between educated individuals and the industry by creating an environment where learning happens through exposure and experiences in problem-solving. We are creating an ecosystem where service and education coexist,” he says.
The academy didn’t stop there. In the past year, HACA expanded globally by launching a new office in the UAE and introducing an offline Digital Marketing course in Dubai. Today, students from around the world, including India, Pakistan, Iran, Nepal, the US, and the UK, are joining HACA, making it a truly global learning hub. HACA’s story is a testament to the power of vision, perseverance, and the desire to create meaningful change.
