Breaking Barriers for Seniors: How Sukoon Unlimited Is Redefining Aging

In a society that often prioritizes youth, seniors are left grappling with loneliness, lack of purpose, and emotional challenges. Sukoon Unlimited, founded by Vibha Singal, aims to change this narrative by fostering a community where seniors can thrive, connect, and rediscover their purpose.

The Journey from Boardroom to Purpose

“Despite a fulfilling corporate career, I often felt the desire to create something meaningful that could touch lives on a personal level,” says Vibha Singal, an alumna of the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and a corporate leader with experience at Amazon, Accenture, Jet Privilege, and Glance.

The inspiration for Sukoon Unlimited stemmed from Vibha’s personal observations of seniors within her family and community struggling with emotional challenges despite being surrounded by loved ones. Conversations with over 1,000 seniors, combined with research highlighting the alarming impact of loneliness on senior health, cemented the need for a holistic platform dedicated to their well-being.

“Loneliness is linked to a 50% increased risk of dementia, a 32% higher chance of stroke, and a 29% greater likelihood of heart disease,” Vibha explains. Thus, Sukoon Unlimited was born with a mission to address these pressing issues and create a sense of belonging for seniors.

The Birth of Sukoon Unlimited

Launched officially in early 2024, Sukoon Unlimited is more than just a senior care platform—it’s a “community by seniors, for seniors.” Unlike traditional platforms focusing solely on healthcare, Sukoon empowers seniors to actively contribute, engage, and mentor.

Key Offerings That Set Sukoon Unlimited Apart

Sukoon Unlimited stands out by focusing on emotional and social well-being through several unique initiatives:

Sukoon Sarathi: A mentorship program where accomplished seniors support one another through empathetic relationships.

Counseling and Support Groups: India’s first senior-led counseling service, offering relatable guidance and breaking the stigma around mental health.

Community Meetups: A platform for seniors to showcase their talents, pursue hobbies, and build meaningful connections.

Sukoon Assistance: A concierge service offering tech support, payment verifications, and volunteer opportunities tailored to seniors’ needs.

Validation and Market Demand

Through extensive pilot programs, Sukoon Unlimited tested its offerings with small senior groups, receiving overwhelming enthusiasm.

“Hearing stories of seniors finding a renewed sense of purpose through our programs validated our mission,” Vibha shares. Today, the platform boasts over 2,500 seniors across 250+ cities worldwide, growing primarily through word-of-mouth and referrals.

Challenges and Lessons Learned

Building Sukoon Unlimited came with its fair share of challenges. One of the biggest hurdles was helping seniors navigate technology.

“We designed a simple, user-friendly platform and provided hands-on support through multiple channels like WhatsApp, our website, and a dedicated call center,” Vibha explains.

Another challenge was shifting societal perceptions of aging. Sukoon tackled this through educational content and by showcasing inspiring stories of senior empowerment.

Milestones and Achievements

In less than a year, Sukoon Unlimited has made significant progress, achieving several milestones:

Community Growth: 2,500+ seniors onboarded across 250+ cities worldwide.

Pioneering India’s First Senior Counseling Platform: Enabling seniors to access relatable guidance from their peers.

Peer-to-Peer Engagement Model: Seniors now actively contribute by mentoring, hosting events, and supporting each other.

Scaling Up and Future Goals

With a long-term vision to make Sukoon Unlimited a household name, Vibha and her team are working on scaling operations globally.

“We aim to leverage technology and partnerships to expand our reach, creating even more opportunities for seniors worldwide,” Vibha shares.

Plans are underway to enter new markets while strengthening existing communities through digital solutions and strategic collaborations.

Investment and Growth Plans

In January 2025, Sukoon Unlimited raised $430,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by Anchorage Capital Partners (India), Eaglewings, and notable investors like Dr. Vinay Jain and Manish Dureja. These funds are being used to enhance the platform, expand its reach, and drive growth across new regions.

A Purpose-Driven Team

The success of Sukoon Unlimited is driven by a dedicated team that shares a common passion for creating meaningful change in seniors’ lives. The organization is built on three core values:

Empathy: Understanding and addressing seniors’ unique emotional needs.

Collaboration: Encouraging teamwork to drive impactful solutions.

Purpose-Driven Innovation: Ensuring every initiative aligns with the core mission.

“As we expand, we ensure these values remain at the heart of our operations by fostering open communication and hiring individuals who resonate with our mission,” says Vibha.

Advice for Aspiring Entrepreneurs

Looking back on her entrepreneurial journey, Vibha offers valuable advice to young entrepreneurs:

“Follow your passion and believe in your vision. Entrepreneurship is a marathon, not a sprint. Embrace failures as learning opportunities and build resilience to overcome setbacks.”

Looking Ahead

With ambitious plans for growth, Sukoon Unlimited continues to redefine aging in India and beyond, creating a supportive, engaging, and empowering community for seniors.
