In an exclusive interview with Startup Story, Arham Partap Jain, the founder of Trucknetic, discusses the startup’s vision to halve the cost of logistics in India, achieve net zero emissions and empower the carriers in India. It is the country’s first truck booking marketplace redefining the way goods move at the touch of a button, and aims to make truck booking as easy as cab booking in India.
Trucknetic is solving the highly fragmented and unorganised nature of the trucking industry through its one stop trucking platform by connecting shippers and carriers. The Delhi based startup uses high end technologies like AI and ML to solve the problem of return load and its unique atomic network model and extends the benefit of reduced costs to the shippers that includes MSMEs, individuals and top E-commerce, supply chain, and quick commerce brands. Trucknetic is also empowering truck drivers to lead a better life through its non for profit organisation by the name, Highway Heroes India Foundation. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Trucknetic thrived during the period and aims to be a leading player in the industry by continuing to provide innovative solutions with enhanced user experience.
Arham is a serial entrepreneur with a background in mechanical engineering and has worked with DRDO, HAL in the past. He also comes with a rich experience in the social impact sector. His last job stint was in investment banking at Ernst and Young as a Mergers & Acquisition advisor before launching Trucknetic.
Addressing The Fragmentation Of The Trucking Industry In India
Trucking in India is highly unorganised and inefficient and costs 14% to the GDP annually. Trucknetic aims to address the fragmentation of the trucking and reduce the cost of logistics by providing a one-stop solution for all kinds of truck booking, including inter-city, intra-city, and packers and movers movements. The startup offers end-to-end services, including BNPL (Buy
Now Pay Later) services, a free search engine for finding truckers based on location, and a free freight calculator for estimating freight prices.
Solving The Problem Of Return Load Using AI And ML
Trucknetic uses its unique atomic network model in the trucking industry and Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and the latest tech trends to solve the problem of Return Load. The startup provides clients with a platform to book return loads in advance, ensuring optimal utilization of the truck fleet and reducing idle time. This approach not only enhances the profitability of the truckers but also helps in reducing carbon footprints.
Electrifying Logistics Through EVolev
EVolev is India’s first platform for EV Trucks with an aim to spear head the electrification of road logistics in India, make it cost effective and 100% sustainable by creating an ecosystem around EV commercial vehicles.

Trucknetic has also established a non-profit organization, Highway Heroes India Foundation, under the name “What The Truck,” to empower truck drivers and small fleet owners. The foundation provides free medical checkups, life insurance covers for transits, and other campaigns aimed at improving the quality of life of truck drivers and small fleet owners.

Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Trucknetic managed to thrive as shippers struggled to transport goods due to lockdowns, and transporters and fleet owners found it challenging to get loads and sustain their businesses. By going digital and providing a platform for transportation activities, Trucknetic experienced a massive rise in daily active users on the platform and revenues during this period.
