Things never work the same way for everyone. Well, this is just a fact that we have been listening to and seeing whether it’s a movie or big shot business. But have you heard about a person who came to the level that one generation older considered it as risky stuff? Well maybe and may not is a precise answer as per learning.
So today we will be talking about a guy who risked his initial years just to be the person of his dreams. We all know 26 July 2005, was a very crucial year for Mumbaikars, as they dealt with one of the deadliest floods of all time. But an 18-year-old guy named Digvijay Pandey came from a small village called “Takiya” part of West Champaran district in Bihar to Mumbai to fit in this hustle just to keep his dream and futuristic plans alive. Champaran is a very known and small district in Bihar, from where Gandhiji started the satyagraha rally. With motivation at the age of 18-34, Digvijay started his journey with a brighter outlook to provide and do something that people are in actual need of.
However, Digvijay has made wonders in these recent 3 years as he is the founder of Cartz Fresh which sells cut vegetables to make lives easier. Digvijay is a dignified and optimistic individual who has finally achieved his dreams following so much hustle.
Due to 26/07, Digvijay struggled for a few days in his job hunting process, but then he started with his first job as a watchman, in continuation, he worked as a books salesman and a car salesman in a Maruti showroom. Later in 2014 he got an opportunity at Mercedes-Benz, where he later served as Head of Corporate Sales Business, which is a leading position for a person who started with a job as a watchman. Yet his thoughts were revolving around doing something of his own, an independent business. He interpreted in one of the interviews that he got a unique startup idea related to vegetables when he was searching for what kind of services people are not getting, and what all things are not available in the market. Digvijay’s plan was new to the market and for the consumers. For this, he left this rat race and started selling vegetables, this is how the new startup was founded ‘Cartz Fresh’, At the age of 34 Digvijay started doing this business from his flat’s balcony in 2020 march when the covid was brutally hit. Consideringly, his actual providence is to sell freshly grown and cut vegetables, with this he has maintained the proper procedure of scattering, cleaning and cutting, which is all customizable according to the requirement.
Digvijay’s ideas are unique to his own, and the services are extraordinary. In an interview, the founder ‘Digvijay’ said, every day they source farm fresh vegetables and other products, and with all the procedures in line, they make final products for ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook. So from 2020 to 2023, it’s been almost 3 years after covid and their sales have been a boon with lots of ups and down. Although the total sales they are currently managing is 15 lakhs monthly. Moreover, Digvijay also mentioned that he is raising the seed round of capital for next phase of growth.
Cartz Fresh is D2C brand for ready to cook and ready to eat range of fruits, vegetables & sprouts and their range of products are available on Cartz Fresh Website, Mobile App & WhatsApp Shop. They have also partnered with quick commerce platforms such as Zepto & Dunzo, along with offline Supermarket like Tata’s Star Bazaar, RPG’s Nature’s Basket and more than 25+ retail stores in Mumbai Suburban part of western side of Mumbai. They are about to start their services in Pune from mid-April’23.
To be precise, Digvijay Pandey is an inspiration for today’s generation, from where he started and has built a gynocentrism business where women are being employed on a higher scale. They have 20 women working in the processing centre from a total staff of 24. Rigorously, this is the change that this country needs where people can do much better things without studying and by only building up self-esteem. In his final message to his readers, he mentioned that his family had not yet come to terms with his decision to leave his job at Mercedes-Benz and start selling farm fresh vegetables. Nevertheless, he asserted that not everyone can succeed in either a business that is easily established or one that requires significant effort to build up. He acknowledged that starting can be challenging, but with time, one learns to manage things intelligently.
