Arpit Dilip Gupta, in an exclusive interview with Startup Story, shares how his company, which was built during the unprecedented times of COVID, “Ecommercians” is now a leading creative and branding agency in India with a strong digital marketing agency and has been delivering integrated brand management solutions for both B2B and B2C clients.
Know the Company
Arpit Dilip Gupta did his schooling from St. Andrews school Agra and holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Banglore university. He had a demonstrated history of working in the retail industry, sales, and business development.
Arpit explains that “Ecommercians” are a set of entrepreneurs including Mr. Rohit Singh (COO), Mr. Mohit Jain (CMO) Mr. Pulkit nijhawan (strategic partner & investor) who have devoted a considerable number of years and energies towards creating expertise in online marketplace strategies. With the expert knowledge and skills of these entrepreneurs, Ecommercians offer assistance in scaling and expanding business and sales through online portals and various digital platforms, providing comprehensive support throughout the process.
Entrepreneurs employ pragmatic online promotion strategies to scale their clients’ businesses exponentially. “The motto of Ecommercian is not only to increase engagement on online platforms but equally focus on offline market space”, said Arpit.
Ecommercian is consistently trying to enhance the visibility and expand the reach of products on popular e-commerce platforms. “We provide significant support in boosting our clients’ businesses”, said Arpit.
Ladder to Success
Arpit says that Ecommercian is successful because of its strong fundamentals, which are to work with full integrity and perseverance to facilitate end-to-end management and related services on both the offline and online platforms.
“It is not easy to create a trustworthy e-commerce solutions platform that operates 365 days a year. It requires well-coordinated operations and carefully mapped data”, said Arpit.
Arpit envisions making Ecommercian a leading player in providing e-commerce-related solutions and ensuring the brands that engage with Ecommercian top the market in their respective domains, which will be sustainable and growth-oriented.
The brand building journey at the agency follows certain steps, from awareness creation to establishing a relationship with the brand. Firstly, the client service team understands the brand, does the market research, and realises the scope of the product. Then come the category managers, who hold expertise in various categories of products on the market and strategize based on inputs and ideas. The teams are further supported by an army of designers, developers, and content writers who make the best efforts to make products catchy, which can gauge the attention of customers.
Victory Rate
Arpit boasts that they are utilising technology developed in-house at Ecommercian. He went on to say that his clients have built brands with $100 million in annual revenue.
Ecommercian has successfully served more than 10 industries and done more than 1 million product launches. They have a proven record of scaling brands to become people’s favourites.
In pursuit of fresh prospects, Arpit has established a new enterprise focused on footwear named Reshaperz, which is a ground-breaking enterprise that specialises in shoe laundry services, aimed at preserving the appearance and freshness of footwear.
Trends and Market Dynamics
Arpit rightly points out that the e-commerce market is growing with lightning speed, but it is still in its initial stages, which will require some time to reach maturity.
Arpit says that the Indian e-commerce space is particularly in its early stages. The wave of digitization in recent years has boomed the e-commerce sector, which further took off in more recent times when every business wanted to go online and increase their engagement on digital platforms.
Arpit observes that the e-commerce market will be 300 billion dollars strong in the coming 3 years. India’s contribution to this growing business will be significant, says Arpit.
He further points out that India holds enough potential due to its demography and demand that everyone wants to capture the Indian market and sell products that suit Indian tastes and preferences.
Ambitions for Future
Ecommercian currently has a physical presence in Delhi, NCR. Arpit is looking forward to expanding the company’s reach to Surat by the end of this year and keeping other destinations like Bangalore and Mumbai in the pipeline.
Arpit is highly cheerful to witness the growth in e-commerce and the allied opportunities that it will bring forth.
Arpit concludes by sharing the mantra for success for young entrepreneurs. He asks the youth to be confident in their ideas and take the path of hard work and resilience to grow. He says that success will become inevitable if efforts are made with the right spirit, a positive mindset, and patience.
