 Dr. Ananthakrishnan, in an exclusive interview with Startup Story, talks about the mission and vision of DaveAI, how the company is using ‘Avatars’ and AI technology to give their customers real time experience. Ananth extensively talks about the company’s offering and road ahead.

DaveAI Vision

Dr. Ananthakrishnan points out that artificial intelligence is a niche area with only a handful of people understanding what goes on behind the scenes. 

Dave’s AI vision is to build a platform that is accessible by developers, enterprises and individuals who may not be AI specialists but could use different aspects of the company’s system to create intelligent solutions for their problems and the larger good of the society. Ananth says he wants to break the stigma associated with the complexity and difficulty of AI. “We want to democratise AI”, he said.

 Sell more and sell better

Ananth says he believes in taking small steps at a time to facilitate sales in an effective manner. The aim is to be a trusted and preferred sales augmentation platform for enterprises. 

Ananth mentions, the inspiration to start this kind of venture goes back to the time when e-commerce was still an alien concept for masses that purchasing products is quite simple.

Though online shopping platforms have made our lives easy and sorted, everything comes with its bane. Online shopping provides a great user experience with a diverse range of options to choose from, to your favourite things but what it lacks is the ‘customer- salesperson relation’ that we all have experienced growing up.

DaveAI has created ‘Avatars’ to strike a conversation with customers in natural language, understand their preferences and make personalised recommendations both via speech and text. They are intelligent, always learning and have the ability to personalise the conversation to help achieve a business objective. This could be to qualify leads, demonstrate product features, make recommendations, upsell or support customers in real time.

Other features include ‘3-D visualisation’ which acts like a digital twin of a company’s physical store. It showcases and demonstrates products in a 3D space and helps customers visualise and configure products in this virtual space.

Growth and Road ahead

DaveAI wants to continue endorsing empathetic AI which is providing efficient and effective products to its customers. Ananth says DaveAI will continue bridging the gap between self-assisted online discovery & salesperson-assisted offline discovery. Ananth has high hopes from the ‘Metaverse’ to increase the outreach of the company as they are already using Avatar and a network of 3D virtual worlds for social connection.

We will continue to create intelligent solutions for our customer problems and the larger good of the society. We want to break the stigma associated with the complexity and difficulty of AI, said Ananth.
