Sudeep Tiwari, is a resident of Ballia, Uttar Pradesh and have been raised by a single mother. He dis his basic study from his hometown itself and later he went to Jaipur in JaipurNational University to pursue B.tech in Chemical Engineering. Since, his childhood, he was very passionate and hardworking, which he inculcated from his mother. He was very clear that after his college, he will pursue his dreams of becoming a successful entrepreneur. “Shanti Krishna Residency” is paving the way for that and he along with his team have been working really hard since the past 4 years in order to make it one of the best tourist destinations at Gokarna.

The idea was to make Gokarna an equally famed tourist destination as any other major tourist place, like – Goa, Puducherry, or Lakshadweep, but not as costly as they are. They believe in delivering the best of amenities at very accommodating prices and that actually has worked really well for them. Customer satisfaction is their utmost priority and they never compromise. On that front this has resulted in what you see in the form of Shanti krishna

Journey towards the startup- Shanti Krishna Residency, Gokarna

“My first experiment with entrepreneurship was with a restaurant at Jaipur during my college days named 3 Monks. I opened this in partnership with two other friends. Though it was not a very successful venture, it gave me an idea about the hostel and hospitality industry. The experience gained from that venture helped me a lot in my initial days while trying my hands with the resort business.”, said Sudeep Tiwari, CEO of Shanti Krishna Residency at Gokarna

In 2013, he went for a vacation with his friends during college time. He is a modern nomad, who likes to explore new places time and again. He realized that Gokarna has been gifted a lot by nature, it has sea, mountains, and amazing weather, but it lagged a lot on resorts and hotel fronts. Most of the places were either very costly or were lagging on the basic amenities. The beauty that he saw kept him wondering and mesmerised. But he found out that the place is lagging a lot on basic facilities and amenities, which is a must for any good tourist place. So from there, he got an inspiration that after completing college, he will be starting his hospitality business from there itself.

Sudeep wanted to create a place where everyone could spend quality time and rejuvenate with their friends and family, amid the hectic work life. They believed in delivering the best in the best possible ambiance at Gokarna. At present, they have a database of thousands of highly satisfied tourists and many of them are pretty regular every year. They started this in the year 2017 and since then this place has turned into an excellent tourist destination for accommodation, food, and everything else.

“None can deny the very fact that Gokarna has the cleanest beaches, the place carries history from generations, not only through its name but also through the places, temples, beaches. They had everything that was generally needed at any good holiday place like Good Food, Music, Dance Sessions, Yoga Sessions, Co-operating staff, and above all, an amazing natural ambiance. The rooms are very comfortable and cozy and are equipped with facilities like – separate WiFi, Ultra Modern Television Set, Hot Running Water 24×7, Excellent Room Service and last but far from least – mesmerizing view of mountain and sea from each and
every room, making it most apt homestay in entire Gokarna.

Apart from Home Stay, they also have a digital booking channel through the BookMyGokarna website. It’s a unique concept to provide easy accessibility for the travel enthusiast to gain insights about every hotel and resort at Gokarna.

Here one will not only get banquets for special occasions like a destination wedding or any family events, but they also have a business conference hall to carry out corporate meetings along with a rooftop cafe with a 360-degree view (A very unique feature missing in the entire Gokarna).

They try their best to provide what’s best for every specific person. Whether it be based on Food or culture, we have tried to accommodate everyone as per the best-suited scenarios. Also, they are well aware that Gokarna attracts both young and family alike. Business during pandemic

“Like every person on this planet, I also had to fight a lot during the hopeless situation of Covid. But as is the saying, every calamity can also give birth to new ideas and hopes. The same happened to me.”, said Sudeep Tiwari, CEO of Shanti Krishna Residency at Gokarna in an exclusive interview with Startup Story.

Business incurred heavy losses during the complete lockdown but as soon as the unlock process came into action, an idea struck on Sudeep’s mind. It was pretty evident that people were burned out mentally during the lockdown and deserved some good times to spend far away from homes but at a place where they can also continue with their work from the home process. So, in light of this, he started some monthly and quarterly monthly stay packages, which are still continuing and are very affordable as well. It has everything that one needs to do work from home. A nice place to stay, home-cooked food, and high-speed Internet along with beautiful beaches and mountains to chill after work. This idea struck many and attracted a lot of people and soon the business started flourishing.

Team behind success

 

“As there is the saying, if you want to go far then you must go along with your team. Rightly said, I also have a team that is more like a family. We have a nice combination of local people and people from different states of India, making my team a composite union of diversified India.”, said Sudeep Tiwari, CEO of Shanti Krishna Residency at Gokarna in an exclusive interview with Startup Story.

The team is headed by Sudeep Tiwari and at the front office, Abhishek Kumar of Bareilly, UPtakes care of everything. He looks after the day-to-day affairs at the resort and is also responsible for monitoring the work of other employees. He is assisted by 7 members, who are mostly engaged to serve the customers in the best possible way. They have a digital marketing team that is headed by Anmol Kumar. He and his team handle the website, digital marketing campaigns, and online booking system for our business. There is also Rajat, who handles the account along with the check-in and check-out of the guests. Overall, it can be said that these people are pillars of my business and have been assisting Sudeep to scale up and run the whole thing smoothly.

Future Plans with this venture

Sudeep has envisioned creating at least 10 best homestays in India, and along with his team he has been working hard to realize that dream sooner or later. As they are all set at Gokarna, and so soon they have planned to acquire some new properties at other tourist destinations like Pushkar, Dharamshala, and Hrishikesh, but they are still in the process to finalise the destination. Everything is in the pipeline and soon something good will come up.

“It’s a long journey and I have just started, hopefully, one day with sheer dedication and hard work along with the right effort, I will be achieving my vision in the near future.”, said Sudeep Tiwari, CEO of Shanti Krishna Residency at Gokarna in an exclusive interview with Startup Story.

India is a very young nation as the majority of the population is still very young and enthusiastic. But that’s not all, we all need to protect our dream and idea while it’s budding.

According to Sudeep, “The best thing one can do is to be focussed, motivated and ought to have patience. Because, an entrepreneur’s journey is very hectic and long and if you lag anyone of these qualities, it’s very easy to lose sight and get lost in this ruthless competitive arena.”
