Dogtail Films is a production house based in Delhi NCR with a team of youthful and enthusiastic professionals who are not afraid to take on new challenges and are always willing to attempt something new. Their Production House is as broad as their team: Directors, Producers, Storytellers, and Graphic Designers create stories in a variety of genres, specializing in both fiction and non-fiction, from TV Commercials to Promos, Vignettes to On-Air Graphics, Television Shows, Documentaries, and much more.

About the dream startup 

Dogtail Films, based in the heart of Delhi NCR, is a young production firm made up of a diverse group of experts that create sophisticated films for its clients. From the beginning of the idea to the final cut, the production house offers a plethora of production and post-production services like conceptualizing, scripting, recce, casting, direction, shoot, and final post-production with graphics. Their unique and inventive video productions are methodically planned, directed, and then enhanced with visual effects, animated sequences, voice-overs, and sound, resulting in a superior completed product that calms the mind and soul.

Vikram Singh and the starting point of Dogtail Films

Coming from a commerce background, Vikram Singh’s interest in theatre and filmmaking solely deviated from his interest in the world of startup. Vikram, a Delhi University graduate, landed his first employment at Inkkpot in 2016, where he worked in the creative team, which aroused his interest in the filmmaking profession.

“I ultimately was put in one of the production companies in 2017, while I was in my third year of college, and began my career in the field of filmmaking. In 2018, I got my major breakthrough to work as a director and produce content at Archies. During this tenure, while I was at a shoot, I got a call on my set carrying the devastating news of the demise of one of my family members. 

Following the demise, I decided to move to Bombay from Delhi. Though I began a new chapter of my life, I still believed that there was something that was missing and that was when it clicked for me, it was my work that mattered, not the place. Even when working in numerous professions, the idea of starting my own business was always in the back of my mind. Since filmmaking was a subject of interest for me and I lacked professional expertise in the same, I worked with numerous freelancers to gather the skills and art that goes behind the same. In 2021, when the devastating impact of the pandemic faded away, I quit my job and started the journey of my startup, Dog Tail, from home with my team of three people. I built a network, met many people, and ended up getting many clients. We developed a website all our own, with no outside investment, and re-invested the profits. Dog Tail provides AD Films/ TVCs, Corporate Films, Animation Films, 360°, and VR Videos,” said Vikram. 

The rise of the era 

Vikram Singh’s decision to name the organization Dogtail, follows the principle that he firmly believed in, that the creativity in human beings is similar to that of the tail of the dog, one which never goes away and another never bends. The firm boasts a long list of high-profile clients, including Archies, Hirect, Blue Ocean, Gyaan Mart, and Ziploan etc. The group was founded amid the emergence of the Covid-19 epidemic, while the country was experiencing a lull during the lockdown.

Services that they offer 

Dogtail Films deals with a wide variety of filmmaking services ranging from animated videos, testimonies, digital advertisements and much more. The production house provides a wide range of production and post-production services, including conceptualization, screenplay, recce, casting, direction, shoot, and final post-production with graphics, from the conceivement of an idea to the final cut.

Present and the future of the organization 

What sets the organization apart is the fact that they strive to work on the budget put forth by their clients while pouring their heart and soul into their work to put the idea of the client into a screen in front of them. Dog tail films is a comparatively recent startup with less than a year of exposure into the market. However, the growth and the heights that they’ve been able to capture in this short period of time is truly admirable. 

Dog tail films plan to expand its services in the near future. They are also ready to initiate a new segment in their venture on social media and marketing.
