In an intresting interview with Startup Story, Abhishek jain said, The digital disruption significantly accelerated over the last one and a half years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic helped us realise the dire need of moving businesses online. Moreover, automation of businesses can be difficult, especially for small and medium enterprises due to lack of capital. Ahmedabad-based Fintech Startup Naapbooks, which stands for Next Generation Automated Activity Planner specifically for SMEs. Founded in 2017 by Abhishek Jain, Ashish Jain, Yaman Saluja. The startup is aimed at harnessing computing technology to strengthen enterprise and optimize their operations. It provides customized Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) that encompasses accounting, procurement, project management, risk management and compliance, and supply chain management to its customers, thus giving the opportunity to streamline and improve the business operations.
Speaking with Startup Story, Abhishek said that the startup was initially started with a goal of automation of accounting and other processes of Business organizations that can cater the needs of the Indian Market. “Over the period of time we have developed many applications for automation of Small and Medium scale business. As these businesses don’t have that much of capital to invest into the core processes and in automating those processes. So, our target was to digitize those companies.”
He realized that these SMEs have certain issues with the ERP as they aren’t able to implement the big ERP, neither they are satisfied with their current ERPs. So, they need some solutions as well as customization with the Enterprise Resource Planning so that it can be easily fitted into their current system also. “So, first we assist them in digitalization of those particular processes. And once the processes are digitized then we help the companies in other processes depending upon the needs of the company.” He further added that the startup follows a step-by-step approach for the organization to completely digitize their internal and external processes. Today, the startup claims to have helped over 500+ clients, acquired more than 100 projects, and expanded its presence in 5+ states. Ashish Jain, CEO, Co-founder, has an experience of more than 12 years in the field of Technology. He oversees the Development and Operations of the company. Ashish is also the core problem solver and coder for Naapbooks. Abhishek Jain, Co-founder, is Chartered Accountant, Block chain Consultant, Business Process Consultant and Cyber Security Coach. Having 9 years of experience, he brings the logic and processes of accountancy into the system. Another Co-founder, Yaman Saluja, has 6 years of experience in the field of Marketing and Advertising. He helps in the marketing and sales strategies of the company. Swati Singh is the Chief Experience Officer, having more than 8 years of experience with IT companies. Her strategies for growth industries have benefited many SMEs in creating a great and harmonious workplace culture.
Customer Experience
The feedback for Naapbooks has been great until now. “We have 80% of clients recurring. We are getting recurring revenue from these clients and we also have a healthy relationship with them. Over the period of time, we’re also trying to enhance customer experience through our customized solutions to them,” said Abhishek.
Future Plans And Funding
The startup is looking to expand its capabilities in SMEs and retail space. Moreover, Naapbooks is planning to add their capacities on a few of the Social Projects by the Government.
Currently, Naapbooks is a fully bootstrapped company. Abhishek told Startup Story that recently only they have filed their paper for a Startup IPO with BSE startup exchange.
