“Always keep working hard, keep putting in the effort. It might take time to succeed, but never give up. Gradually, things fall in the right direction,” said Abhisek Mishra, Founder and CTO of Pisarv Technologies in an insightful interview with Startup Story.
With the evolution of technology and easy access to the internet services, almost every sector has undergone tremendous transformations in the recent past; with the education sector being no exception. Education Technology most commonly known as EdTech or Edu-Tech has introduced a definite massive change in how far, how deep, and how well the education is disseminated across the country. However, there’s still a long way to go to improve the Edutech sector. After the pandemic hit, the use of online learning has got a huge surge. And, making education interesting for kids became extremely imperative.
Back then, Abhisek (Founder) & Amit (Founder) were looking to do something innovative. During the whole brainstorming process they came to realize that in the EdTech sector, there’s less technology penetration. With this thought they paved their way towards building Pisarv. Abhisek said, “in learning, visualization plays an essential role in retaining things for a longer time. Alas! There wasn’t such a product to enable kids to visualize most realistically. For Instance, we cannot bring an elephant to a classroom but we can only teach about it via toys, pictures, or videos. This is how we got the idea of SARAL. With Saral, we create an immersive experience in the classroom where kids feel that the creature/model is walking next to them in the most realistic way.”
Indore-based Edtech Startup, Pisarv Technologies founded in 2018 by Abhisek Mishra, Amit Panchal, Roshani Shukla, and Durgesh Shukla; to revolutionize the classroom learning experience for kindergartners using advanced technologies like AR and AI. The whole idea of making education more intriguing led to a world-class patent applied product called SARAL (Simple Augmented Reality Applied Learning), CODEAN (India’s only offline coding platform), and PDS (Physical Distancing System).
Started with an idea to use new technologies such as augmented reality and artificial intelligence to transform the classroom learning experience for kindergarten students.
Products offered by Pisarv
SARAL (Simple Augmented Reality Applied Learning), a world-class patent-pending product, takes the classroom learning experience to the next level and provides the learning curriculum for pre-primary learners. SARAL is installed in more than 190 schools across 2 countries (India and Nepal) and 23 cities, impacting more than 50000 early education learners in India. SARAL enables 3D visualizations like never before by bringing real-world animals, birds, sea creatures, and many other models into the classroom making learning fun and insightful. It comes with the most innovative and unique modules like : Touchdraw (A module to improve and encourage kids with their writing skills)
Advanced Phonics ( An interactive phonics that comes with 44 sounds which include Short Vowel, Long Vowel, Diagraph, Diphthongs, Blends, and word-formation ).
SARAL Eye-Test ( A module for eye test of the kids in the classroom itself without in just 5 mins)
CODEAN, India’s only offline coding platform. It is a revolutionary programming tool for schools to teach coding offline. CODEAN comes with a complete graded curriculum from class 1st to 12th and it can be used in the classroom as well as in the lab with computers. It supports all major programming languages like Visual Programming (Block based programming), C, C++, and Python with a complete graded curriculum and compiler.
“At Pisarv Technologies we believe that coding/programming is not just Problem Solving Skills necessary to pursue a career as a coder or programmer but will enable our students to develop skills that apply to all jobs: logical or computational thinking, flexibility, problem-solving, creativity, persistence, and collaboration. Best of all it’s challenging and it’s fun!” the company said in a statement.
At the time when the pandemic hit our nation, the startup came up with another innovative product PDS(Physical Distancing System), which is currently installed at Indore Airport and was inaugurated by Director of Indore Airport Ms. Arayama Sanyal and Honourable Member of Parliament Mr. Shankar Lalwani. PDS is developed to ensure the adherence of social distancing to minimize the spread of Covid919. This product is an intelligent system that recognizes the slightest of the breaches in social distancing and sounds an alarm, The guidelines are there to keep social distancing but as we have seen at many places that its difficult to maintain in places like banks, shopping malls, railway stations, ticket counters, schools, colleges, factories, government offices and many more.

Tackling the Pandemic
On being asked about the challenges the company had faced Abhishek replied, when they launched Pisarv in November 2018 from then to January 2020 the operations were very smooth. But when the pandemic hit everything was shut down, as they have a B2B model and their primary consumers are schools that definitely impacted the startup. “However, we used the time in R&D and we’re very well prepared for the upcoming months,” Abhishek further added.
