Sharkbiit.ai wins $100K in the Merage Institute contest.


Med-tech startup from Israel, Sharkbiit.ai secured the first position in the Merage Foundation’s 45+ contest and received a prize of $100,000. The prize is to be used for the initial project financing and an automatic acceptance into the Merage Institute Innovation bridge Program in California. 

The AI driven company uses AI to process routine dental scans which allows an efficient and early detection of diseases said Dr. Jenny Chernobelsky, CEO and Co-founder of Sharkbiit.ai. She added that the company is aiming to help the field of general medicine and patients to uncover these conditions.

The competition was established by founder, chairman and CEO Paul Merage to inspire and assist both women and Israeli entrepreneurs above the age of 45 which gives them exposure and access to funding for their projects. 

Co-founder and CTO of Sharkbiit.ai, Omer Holzinger said in a statement, “We didn’t take it for granted that we would win. The prize money is obviously a big push for a company as early as ours”
