Zipy, a software debugging and observability platform, has raised $2.8 million in a seed round led by Blume Ventures and Together Fund, an operator-driven venture capital fund. Former WhatsApp chief business officer Neeraj Arora, AppDynamics and Harness co-founder Jyoti Bansal, MindTickle co-founders Deepak Diwakar and Nishant Mungali, former Elevation Capital partner Alok Goel, Deutsche Bank CIO Dilip Khandelwal, Better founder Vaibhav Domkundwar, and seed funds BoldCap and FirstCheque also actively participated in the funding round.
Zipy, founded in 2020 by Vishalini Paliwal, a product engineering veteran, and IIT Roorkee graduate, allows software teams to proactively identify, prioritize, and debug critical customer issues in real-time by combining sessions replays, error monitoring, and intelligent insights on a single platform.
Customers are charged based on the size of their teams who utilize the platform in the start-software-as-a-service up’s model. The platform, like many other SaaS start-ups, provides limited free access. Paliwal has worked with MindTickle, Persistent Systems, and Motorola, as well as serving as a product mentor for a number of startups.
Companies can subscribe to Zipy for as little as $39 per month for somewhat larger teams and access to more platform capabilities. If it is employed by a mid-sized organization that requires a more advanced configuration, the price climbs to $200-$500 per month, and bigger enterprise-sized teams are offered tailor-made plans.
Zipy intends to use the cash received to enhance the capabilities of its technology platform, making bug solutions more proactive, intelligent, and agnostic to technological stacks. The money would also be used to hire people and focus on growing the company’s consumer base. In just a few weeks, Zipy has received over 100 customer signups, according to the company. The company’s headquarters are in San Francisco, but it also has a presence in Pune.
