Organic Farming Start-up, Humpy Farms Secures INR 5 Crore funding in Angel Round; includes funds secured in Shark Tank India

Humpy Farms was founded in 2017 by Malvika Gaekwad and Jaywant Patil and is headquartered in Pune. Humpy Farms, a direct-to-consumer organic farming startup, has raised $ 5 billion in funding round. HumpyFarms consistently practices climate-friendly renewable digital organic farming to reduce carbon dioxide emissions with the goal of becoming a one-stop shop for everyday grocery needs.
Humpy Farms recently appeared in Shark Tank India’s first season and received funding from Peyush Bansal of Lenskart and Ghazal Alagh. Notable investors such as DBS Bank’s Shailesh Ligade, IIFL’s Abhay Amrute, Bain & Company’s Prattyush Shahane, Wiggles’ Yogash Lahoti and Anushka Iyer also participated in the Angel investing Round. The funds secured from Shark Tank India and Angel Round will help Humpy Farms grow significantly. Much of the money raised will be used to invest in technology and strengthen the brand’s D2C strategy.
Part of the funds will also be used to accelerate client acquisition and identify and hire new talent. In line with its expansion plans, Humpy Farms is also exploring new potential markets for the launch of its perishables, including its unique Humpy A2 milk.
