Ola e-scooter starts expanding their charging network.

Since its commencement of the Ola Electric scooters, Ola has been expanding its charging network. After completion Ola Electric hopes to have a dense network comprising 100,000 charging points across 400 cities making it the largest two wheeler charging network in the country.

Ola Electric expects to be functional in the next six to eight weeks and has a target of 4000 charging stations by the end of 2022. It will install its charging stations at Bharat Petroleum fuel stations and residential complexes in the initial phase. The idea behind rapid installation of charging stations is to give people confidence in the electric-two wheeler. However, later Ola charging stations could be made available at other public places, offices and commercial centres. They also have plans to set up Hypercharger towers that can accommodate several EVs simultaneously.

To add to that, Ola Electric will also be offering free charging for the first 6 months in its charging stations until June 2022. With Ola’s hypercharger network, the S1 can travel a distance of 75 km when loaded in just around 18 minutes. The company will also have a portable home charger that can be easily plugged into any standard 5 Amp socket.
