o9 Solutions engages with IIT Kharagpur and NITIE to advance AI-ML research and development

o9 Solutions, a developer of AI software platforms for planning and decision-making, has established a cooperation with IIT Kharagpur and NITIE to further AI-ML research and development. The o9-IITKGP-NITIE Project is a cohort-based research program with the shared objective of producing high-quality AI-ML research publications utilizing the o9 Platform, which will stimulate fast industry adoption.
The partnership will be led by Dr. Narasimha Kamath (PhD, IIM Calcutta), Senior Vice President – R&D, o9 Solutions, and Prof. Manoj Kumar Tiwari (FNAE, FNASc, FIIIE, FIISE, and FIETI), Director, National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE).
o9 shall conduct research initiatives in collaboration with IIT Kharagpur and NITIE departments. It will also provide students with the chance to engage in research projects in which they will be given real-world complex/large datasets and will be asked to run novel generation algorithms to enhance predictions, allowing for a more efficient demand planning process. This partnership intends to bring together a world-class pool of industrial and academic experience, allowing IIT KGP students to collaborate on additional next-generation and cutting-edge technologies.
o9 will give research researchers access to the company’s SaaS platform, as well as educational curriculum tools for developing skills at these institutions. As part of this partnership, o9 will offer students from these prominent colleges new job prospects.
