Meet the 46 Indian startups that have won the National Startup Awards for 2021.

The National Startup Awards 2021 winners were revealed on 16th January 2022 by the Indian government. A total of 46 startups were recognised for their contributions to their respective industries. During the occasion, an incubator and an accelerator were also honoured. Piyush Goyal, the Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, was present at the event. Goyal, speaking at the ceremony, remarked, “The Startup Mission is a symbol of Self-Reliant & Self-Confident India. Be it a fisherman’s son from Chennai or a boatman’s daughter from Kashmir, they all want to bring prosperity to their families and to their people, and therefore are thinking bigger and bolder.”
The National Startup Awards 2021 aim to recognise firms that stimulate economic growth via innovation and competitiveness. It focuses on entrepreneurs that are developing new products/solutions, scalable businesses with a strong potential for creating jobs or money, as well as exhibiting verifiable social impact.
The National Startup Awards are in their second year. A total of 15 sectors and 49 sub-sectors were open for applications. Agriculture, animal husbandry, enterprise technology, and fintech were among the industries represented.
The winners were chosen based on six criteria, according to the Ministry: innovation, scalability, economic effect, social impact, environmental impact, and inclusivity and diversity.
