Invact Metaversity, a platform that combines education with Web3, has secured $5 million in a seed round. The organization, which was founded by Manish Maheshwari, the former Head of Twitter India, and Tanay Pratap, a former software engineer at Microsoft, provides employability-focused training for getting positions in digital companies.
According to the business, the institution is being developed in the metaverse to encourage an immersive learning environment. Antler India joined a group of international institutional investors that included India’s Arkam Ventures, Picus Capital, M Venture Partners, BECO Capital, and 2am VC.
Maheshwari left Twitter in December to create the ed-tech firm. Maheshwari was announced as a new Senior Director (Revenue Strategy and Operations) at Twitter in August of last year, with a focus on new markets. It has not given any explanation for the abrupt change.

In addition, the company has received funding from over 70 angel investors, including Balaji Srinivasan (former CTO of Coinbase and GP at Andreessen Horowitz), Caesar Sengupta (former VP and General Manager of Payments & the Next Billion Users initiative at Google), Nithin Kamath (founder, Zerodha), Kunal Bahl (founder, Snapdeal), and others.
Invact Metaversity is a virtual university that aspires to make education more accessible and inclusive by offering a real-time experience of attending a university. The platform is designed with a focus on developing a social and community layer to provide students with a virtual university experience, such as joining a classroom, hanging out with classmates on campus, and more.
