Mahindra Electric Mobility Ltd (MEML) said on Friday that it has teamed with Common Service Centres (CSC), a government organization that assists in the creation of jobs in rural India, to promote the use of electric cars.
MEML will offer its line of electric vehicles, such as the Treo and Alfa, to prospective consumers in rural regions as a result of its partnership with CSC, the firm stated in a statement.

To ensure a seamless functioning, CSC hires Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs), who serve as a link between consumers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). In communities, VLEs raise awareness of government projects.
According to MEML, there are presently more than 4.7 lakh VLEs in India, with 4.5 lakh CSCs. CSC launched the rural e-mobility initiative last year with the goal of promoting electric cars and charging infrastructure.
