Logistics firm Ecom Express plans to convert 50% of its vehicle fleet to EV by 2025

Tech-enabled logistics firm, Ecom Express, has declared that it will convert 50% of its vehicles in the last mile to electronic vehicles (EVs) by 2025 to come one step closer to its sustainability goals.
Incorporated in 2012 by T. A. Krishnan, Manju Dhawan, K. Satyanarayana and Late. Sanjeev Saxena, this Gurgaon-based start-up offers end-to-end, tech-driven logistic solutions to the Indian ecommerce industry. Having its foothold in all 29 states of the country, it has a business model that is based on delivery service capability, scalability, customization and sustainability.
The company has already deployed a fleet of electric three-wheelers in Delhi-NCR for the last two years for the purpose of first-mile delivery. It has also intended its deployment of e-bikes in Hyderabad and Jaipur.

The motive behind the conversion of 50% vehicles fleet to electric vehicles by 2025 is to strengthen logistics firm’s principle of sustainability by reducing the carbon footprint and becoming a responsible delivery partner to the Indian ecommerce industry, as stated by the press release of the company.
The press release also added that the company is revamping the logistics infrastructure to support the sustainable, electric fleet of vehicles by providing charging facilities for such vehicles. Also, the company is forging strategic partnerships with a number of players to provide sustainable logistics solutions.
